to many small towns for shopping and entertainment Perham, Ottertail. Richvile, New York Mills, Battle Lake, Amor, Deer Creek,
Clitherall, Dent, Henning, Vergas, Underwood, Dalton, Fergus Falls, Pelican Rapids, Detroit Lakes are waiting for you. Maplewood
& Glendalough State Parks, Phelps Mill park, and Inspiration Peak are nearby. Bird Watching all over our area, but is
most popular in the parks.

If you do leave the resort during your vacation, there are many nearby attractions around
for you. Jumping the Bridge into the Ottertail river or Relaxing Tubing down it. Championship 18 hole PGA Golf Courses for
Mom & Dad or Miniature Golf for the whole family, Horseback Riding, Indoor Water Park, Fine Dining and Dancing, Family
Restaurants, Friendly Churches, Shopping, Flea Markets, Fairs & Celebrations, Pottery Shops, Local Art Creations are just
some of what can be found through out the area. You will find some statues here, that claim to be the largest, Turkey, Pelican,
Loon, and Otter, and don't forget Bird Watching, Biking, Hiking, Sightseeing they are just some of the fun things to do on
vacation that you will find.

Maplewood State Park |

Over 9,250 acres of woods, eight major lakes and several
ponds, this state-protected habitat is great for hiking, bird watching, biking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, swimming,
and fishing. The park is host to 150 bird species and 50 species of mammals. Lake Lida has a sandy beach and large picnic
areas for visitors a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The fall colors are amazing. |

Glendalough State Park |

Used to be a private reserve visited by many past
presidents and VIPs with more than nine miles of undeveloped Otter Tail County shoreline and six lakes. This park offers
excellent fishing, bird watching, and hiking trails through oak and northern hardwood forests. During spring and fall
migration, to the delight of birdwatchers, the park becomes a major waterfowl staging area. Two observation areas in the park
provide excellent opportunities to see wildlife activity. |

Shady Oaks Riding Stable
Try trail riding through the beautiful countryside. Saddle horses offering group trail rides and corral rides for small
children. Horse drawn buggy and hay rides are available in addition to corral lessons for the inexperienced riders.
Unique Shopping and Antique hunting
There are many antique and specialty shops in the surrounding community, and even a coffee shop or 2. Unique, hand-crafted
gifts made by local artisans will become part of your vacation memories. Roadside markets, specialty foods, and pick-your-own
produce are available during summer and fall. Antique auctions and flea markets offer an exciting opportunity to get deals,
and stories for your friends.
Art & Craft shows, County Fairs, and old time Fall threshing shows offer family opportunities like no other area.
A nearby mini golf course offers fun for the whole family.
Dining and Dancing
Fine dining or down home establishments can be found through out the area serving a delicious variety of foods, including:
Texas BBQ, steaks, seafood, and good old fashioned hamburgers. The bars in the area offer verities from small town quite, to
live music with dancing but always a friendly atmosphere.
Phelps Mill
Located on the Otter Tail River, the mill was built in 1889, and was originally called the Main Roller Mills. The mill
is no longer in operation, but is now the focal point of a beautiful landscaped county park. Tour the mill, fish the stream,
or picnic along the river.
Phelps Mill is host to the highly acclaimed Phelps Mill Arts and Crafts Festival the second weekend of July, offering guest
performers appearing on stage and around the grounds. A festive atmosphere for a wholesome family experience.
Inspiration Peak State Park
The second highest site in Minnesota offers a panoramic view of nine lakes and three counties. As part of a moraine this
site is the result of the last push of glacial ice across Minnesota.
Inspiration Peak is a great place for family hikes and picnics. Enjoy the paved paths with resting benches along the way.
Inspiration Peak is also a good place to watch the fall hawk migration in the area.
Otter Tail County Historical Society
Recognized by the Minnesota Historical Society as one of the top county museums in the state. Exhibits chronicle the development
of Otter Tail County from the Native American to the early 20th Century. Take a stroll down Main Street of a hundred years
ago, see history come to life in one of the dioramas, or consult the extensive genealogical resources available. The Heirloom
Garden has been a special outdoor exhibit in recent summers. Open June-September, the museum is located at 1110 West Lincoln
Avenue in Fergus Falls.
Prairie Wetlands Learning Center
A unique 300-acre site includes 23 wetlands, 19 acres of virgin prairie, and approximately 175 acres of restored prairie
grasslands.
There are many different Museums and Cultural Centers to visit all
over our area. Be sure not to miss the Veterans Museum in Perham.
